First Look at April and Rob :: Santa Barbara Engagement Photographer

Here's a quick look at a few of the photos from our Santa Barbara engagement photography session with April and Rob, two awesome people who I had a lot of fun with!  They're on a trip right now but when they get back, I'll post the remaining photos and the video slideshow.

First Holy Communion :: Santa Maria Photographer

One of my favorite things about photography is the people I get to meet.  Another favorite thing is when those people tell other people about me.  And then those people tell more people and so on!  Well, that's what happened with this Lompoc photography session.  Lorena called me out of the blue and told me that she was referred by a friend.  The friend has never been a client of mine but just loved my work.  I met Lorena and her husband to discuss their session and they were awesome.  The kind of people you feel like you've known for a long time.

It was no surprise to meet their daughter Jazlyn only to learn that she was just as friendly as her parents.  They did a good job raising this one.

Onto the session!  Jazlyn had her First Holy Communion a few months ago.  Her mom had a dress custom made back in Mexico and really wanted to get some photographs of her in it but wasn't happy with the images she got initially.  That's where I came in and I'm so glad I had to opportunity to meet them and be their photographer.  I can't wait to see these images hanging on the walls of their Santa Maria home.

Organic Bloom Frames and Ornaments :: Santa Maria Photography Frames

The Organic Bloom.  Just Google them and you'll see how cool they are.  Or you can click this link to their website.

I ordered a few of these frames for my personal use because I love them so much.  The smaller frames are 3x3 "ornaments" but we're going to string up several of them to make a photo garland in our baby Natalie's nursery.  I'll post a photo once we get it on the wall.

If you're looking for a unique frame for your photograph, this is it.  Organic Bloom only sells to photographers so if you want them, just order through me!  They come in a variety of colors and 16 shapes.

This first one is a 10x13" with a chalkboard.  I plan on using it for my next photo session.  You'll see!

These next two photos are the ornament frames in 3x3".  They're amazing but my dog, Lani, didn't like wearing it so much.  I threw the third photo in just because it's Christmas time and it's a relaxing image!

I have a Newborn Baby Girl! :: San Luis Obispo Baby Photography

I have been rather absent from this blog (and my mind) for the last month because my wife was 9 months pregnant.  On November 27th at 3:44 am, she gave birth to our beautiful baby girl, Natalie Marie Lynn Quesinberry (the middle names are her grandmas' middle names).  Ashley was so strong and did such a great job.  I couldn't be more proud of her.  I can't even imagine what it was like to be in her shoes.  Also, our RN and midwife were awesome and if I had to spend 5 days at a hospital, I'm glad it was French Hospital in San Luis Obispo.

Natalie came into this world at 8 pounds 2 ounces and 21 inches long.  Her toes are so long they almost curl around my finger!  I love this little girl more than anything on this planet.

Take a look at the photography from her birth.  I'm so happy I was able to document this!

Christmas Card Session :: Santa Maria / Central Coast Photographer

Attention!  Attention!  ...That reminds me of the train conductor at Disneyland.  My in-laws and several friends are there today and the wife, dogs, and I are stuck in the house.  I've been working on my broken furnace and Ashley has been designing decorations for baby Natalie's room.  She's due in 3 weeks!  So, the reason for the "attention" is that I wanted your attention.  I just got a little sidetracked.

CHRISTMAS!!!!! is coming soon.  That means Christmas cards.  We send them out every year with a picture of us and our dogs.  Do the dogs get bumped from the picture when the baby comes?  We shall see.

For YOUR Christmas cards, I'll let you decide who does or does not get to be in it.  This year is extra special because not only do we offer the standard Christmas card and Luxe designs, but we have Letter Press as well.  What is Letter Press, you may ask?  Just take a look.  These things are amazing.

Oh, and don't forget to ask about our Christmas ornament frames.  They don't have to go on a tree or even be for Christmas.  I'm going to hang them in my daughter's nursery.

Austin :: Orcutt Senior Portrait Photographer

I've known Austin's family for a couple years because they live right next door to me.  Austin is the oldest of two high school boys.  When I met them, I assumed they were both in college because they're at least 6 feet tall and are pretty mature.  Apparently Austin is so mature that he's graduating from high school 9 months early.  Good job, kid!  When his mom approached me for Austin's yearbook photos I asked her what type of look or style she wanted.  She left it up to me with the only stipulation being that he couldn't look like he had just been booked in the county jail.  Apparently she didn't have a single photo of him smiling.  I got a few but I wanted Austin to like the photos too so I let him mean mug the camera as well.
